Urtekram started in 1972 and was one of the first to produce organic products. Starting in a little shop in Copenhagen filled with natural and pure products, Urtekram served a small, but growing public of eco-enthusiasts. When one of the Danish grocery stores wanted to stock Urtekram products, organic products took flight! From then to now Urtekram's main focus has always been to consciously produce sustainable products with respect for the earth. What Urtekram means? An ‘urtekræmmer’ is a herbalist. The owners added a big Danish hug at the end: UrteKRAM!
